Providing proof of identity

First we confirm your identity

Before you can use your card, we must first confirm your identity. We are legally required to do so, but we also think it's important ourselves to know who our customers are. We therefore ask the main cardholder to send proof that the name and address for the bank account you have given us corresponds to the name and address you have provided.

You can only activate and use your card when you have provided this proof of identity.

This is how identification works

After applying for a credit card or an extra card, you will receive an email with a request to confirm your identity. You can do so safely using the ABN AMRO Creditcard app:

  • Download the ABN AMRO Creditcard app
  • Log in using your date of birth and the verification code from the email
  • Take a picture of your ID and yourself
